Mrs. Kelly Munn was named the principal of Parkwood Elementary School during the Houston County Board of Education meeting held November 9, 2021. Munn has served as the Assistant Principal for Instruction at Parkwood Elementary School since 2014.
Prior to joining Parkwood Elementary, Munn taught at Rumble Middle School, Eagle Springs Elementary, Northside Middle, and Feagin Mill Middle. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from Mercer University, a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from Georgia College and State University, and a Specialist of Education in both Curriculum & Instruction and Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University.
Munn is a proud product of Parkwood Elementary School. She also attended Northside Junior High and graduated from Northside High School. She is married to Aaron Munn, who is the graphics teacher and head golf coach at Houston County High School. They have three daughters, Annaleigh, Addie Paige, and Arlee.
Mrs. Amanda Bennett joined the Parkwood Elementary School's Administration Team in 2022, serving as the Assistant Principal of Instruction. It is her belief that it takes a village to raise a child, and she looks forward to being a part of your child's village this school year. Prior to serving as API, Mrs. Bennett taught at Parkwood for five years as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher. She also taught at elementary schools in Mitchell and Clay County during the first five years of her teaching career. Mrs. Bennett is a three-time graduate of the Unsinkable Albany State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education, and a Specialist of Education in Educational Leadership.

Mrs. Lachandra Cayton joined the Parkwood Elementary School's Administration Team in 2023, serving as the Assistant Principal of Discipline. Prior to administration, she taught for 12 years including the last three at Parkwood. She received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood/Special Education from Fort Valley State University. She also has a Master of Curriculum and Instruction and a Specialist of Curriculum and Assessment.
Mrs. Cayton is happily married and has one daughter. She's had the opportunity to teach overseas and travel to many countries including France, Thailand, Egypt, Zanzibar, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Kuwait. She loves dancing, singing, and spending time with her family.
She can't wait to create more memories and looks forward to serving all Parkwood families.
